On draft at Mr Brews. Served in a taster glass.
Pours just like all the others- dark black body, one finger brown head, good retention, minimal lacing. Smells of citrus peel, a bit of orange, chocolate, a bit of espresso, cocoa, a bit of milk chocolate. Smells citrus-forward. Flavour is similarly delicious, with a big bite of oranges, a bit of bitter peel, chocolate, cocoa, a bit of espresso. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy carbonation, very tasty and easy to drink. Overall, a nice fruited stout that is quite enjoyable.

Pours seal brown with barely a skim of khaki bubbles on top. Mild aroma smells of roasted malt, mandarine orange, and a touch of dark chocolate.
The taste features roasted malt, figs, and molasses up front. Tactfully speaking, there are some rather off flavors toward the front and middle. I don’t know if my palate is misconstruing the mandarine orange, or if something else is going on, but it tastes rather chemical, and it distracts from the nice malt profile. It almost tastes like juniper or somesuch conifer, but it’s not your usual piney hops. Once everything else subsides, the mandarine orange finally manifests in a palatable way on the back end, along with suggestions of coffee, roasted marshmallow, and creme brulee. I wish the synergy of the finish was omnipresent, as it’s the best part of this brew to me. Medium-heavy body and low carbonation make for a sticky, slightly syrupy mouthfeel that works well.
Overall, this is an adventurous brew whose ingenuity may ultimately do it more harm than good. The malt profile is pure class, but the orange proves mostly unwieldy and distracting. It’s still good if you’re looking for something off the beaten path, but I wouldn’t regard it as a top flight stout.

Very orangy flavored beer. The orange flavor is very natural and delicious though, so this is a good thing. I preferred this more than the Pina or Guayaba versions. All 3 were good though. Nice series!
