Again, I have to rate Australian APAs relative to their competition that don't get exported much... just to be fair since APAs are brewed for a different climate.
Having been in business since 1986, Sail & Anchor does seem to know slightly better what it is doing than many of its competition.
Sail's Pale Looks average, really needs its foam to last longer; admittedly my common complaint for this warm climate. Smells are equally average, mostly malt. The evidence of hop spicing comes in at the Taste early enough and stays stable to the finish, a barely above average skill. Sail's pale is medium-mouth and refreshing. Does its job.
As for Pinnacle, its production brewer and distributor, this is my second encounter. I want to believe that a winemaker also can provide brewing production and this is evidence enough for now. Cheers, mates !

Took a chance on a bottle as it was cheap and wasn't disappointed. As mentioned before, it's nothing spectacular but tastes good and is very drinkable.

Fruity toffee nose. Bronze beer with small soapy head, highly carbonated. Refreshing bright mouthfeel, lightly bitter. Finish is a more intense bitterness followed by late lemon zest notes. Nothing spectacular but pleasant and drinkable.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
