Appearance: The cloudy amber liquid arrives with a nice head of foam that leaves a fair amount of lacing behind
Smell: Bready with honey tones and a hint of thyme (though I likely would not have picked that up had I not known it was in the recipe)
Taste: Bread and honey, up front, with toffee elements, as well; after the swallow, there herbal elements appear though the thyme is very subtle (and that is probably a good thing)
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A different sort of a beer but not obtrusively so; it could be a bit more Belgian in the yeast character to my palate
