Had this on-tap at the Viking in Spokane.
This was a mocha brown color with a tan head that took a couple of minutes to drop. Moderate lace.
Smell was dominated by raspberries. I like raspberries, but holy shit, where's the porter portion of this? It smelled like a porter version of a framboise.
Taste was very similar to the smell. The raspberries take center stage. There is a roasty porter character, but it definitely sits in the background. This doesn't taste bad, it just doesn't taste like a porter so much as it tastes like a roasty raspberry lambic, and I tend to look for porter wherever I can!
This is somewhere between medium and full bodied. The raspeberry dominance makes this a little too fruity-thick, if you can get my drift.
This isn't horrible by any means, it's just too overpowering in the raspberry department. If LC can balance this a little, I'd be significantly more enthusiastic.
