Not sure if the recipe changed since this was reviewed, but this was excellent Red IPA.

Poured a hazy bright red, with a thick creamy head. Aroma is heavy with tropical fruit, melon, and cherry. Taste is identical although I get notes of Mosaic as well even though this a 100% El Dorado hopped ale. Body is well balanced with Caramel malts.

Overall this a very tasty and pleasant Red IPA and deserving of a higher rating.

Pours a clear ruby color with a big fluffy, yet rocky off white head. Aroma is floral, tropical fruits, and some dankness. Taste is malty with some floral, tropical, and bitter notes. Mouthfeel is thin to medium. Overall a good mix of red ale and ipa, although I'd like the ipa qualities to shine through a bit more.

Picked up a bomber from TW Arrowhead in mid-July for $4.49. No bottling date visible.

Beer poured amber with a nice white head that is hanging around.

Nose is a mild amount of citrus hops.

Taste is nicely balanced between the citrus and hint of tropical hops and caramel malt base.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.

Overall this is a nice easy drinking beer with an abv that drinks like a session beer but is substantially higher. Nice brewing job! Pick this up if you are partial to caramel citrus red ales!

Clear red colored ale with a medium sized off-white colored head.

Smells hoppy and woody. Scents of caramel and pine. Distinctly wood scented sandal wood and some cedar. Faint spruce scent.

Starts out strong on the malt with lots of caramel in the after taste. Tastes as woody as it smells. Pine and cedar mostly. Mild level of bitterness and on the sweet side for the style.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a tasty IPA that is slanted to the malty end of the spectrum.

Interesting beer. Reddish brown in color with a short head. Citrus notes throughout with a slightly bitter finish.

Deep golden color, drank from a pint so wasn't getting much scent from this guy. Taste is bold, good carb and mouthfeel was great with huge citrus flavors and lingering bitterness that really coated everything and left a great flavor. Overall, a heavy brew with a touch of too much sweetness for me.

Not a fan of this beer. Way to sweet. Mild at first but once it warmed up a little it was not very good. Would buy or drink again

Pours a murky dark reddish-orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with grapefruit juice and candied citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid citrus forward hop qualities all around.

Serving type: bottle.
