For a Pale ale this was no where near hoppy enough for me.
A = Poured a nice orange colour with a thin foam head that lingered.
S = Faint hoppy aroma.
T = This is where I really felt let down. I hope that maybe I got a bad batch but... It was slightly hoppy. Then the beer took a turn for the sour. I just got this bad sour aftertaste. Very dissapointing.
M = Moderately carbonated.
D = Not impressed. The Gunn island bar has better beers to drink.

disappointing beer overall the cut snake. another of those beers that gets your hopes up only to let you down. boy you can tell CUB is involved with this beer because quite frankly it could fit quite easily into their four seasons range, in terms of character and drinking experience. a half assed beer in every department.
cut snake is in that group of beers that wants the carbonation to pass as crisp hops. even tho there was an ok trace of hoppiness in this beer, is didnt cut the mustard. it poured like any other boring lager, and you could see sizzling carbonation which is for me usually the preface to an ordinary beer, particualarly a light colored effort like this. it smelled quite zesty but the flavor didnt follow, like a poor mans (or should i say destitute) little creatures pale ale. tasted a little fruity, some lemon and grapefruit there, but no malt to enforce this. as i said earlier, let the carbonation do all the work instead of hops. what can i say? any beer that lacks the two main characters that need to be present, hops and malts, has got to go down a rung.
in no way whatsoever is this a beer id go out of my way for. a poor effort when all the possiblities are there for a top notch pale ale. go to richmond for a little creatures on tap rather than south melbourne for this. its at least twice as good if not more.

wasn't that bad, a bit timid its flavours, and its not hoppy enough for me (or even for the style), or malty for that matter, quite a watery texture and just doesn't really fit under the better examples of and India Pale ale, pretty easy to drink though i suppose, maybe thats what they were aiming for, something thats not so challenging, that has a bit more flavour than regular macro stuff.
