A: Medium toffee amber. Finest white head that remains substantial for 5+ minutes, then cools to a slim film, and leaves chunky lacing.
S: I thought it was too strongly hopped at first, but toffee even comes in; and, it's almost like a heath bar milkshake.
M: Rich, sweet, medium body. Semi-dry finish, but a sweet finish. A little heavy overall.
T: Herbal and floral Saaz really dominate straight from the tap. However, a really robust earthy and slightly caramel sweetness develops as it warms.
O: While I'm actually attracted to the flavors I feel like the beer is not in equilibrium especially for a Marzen. I just couldn't get over the candy bar sweet nose, and leaves the toast and floral hop flavor a lot to contend with.
