Twisted X Brewing Company "Siesta Prickly Pear Lager"
on tap at the brewery 6 November 2015
Notes: Clear gold with a bit of a pink cast. Odd. Must be from the prickly pear fruit. Short head of bright white. Head retention and lacing could be much better (perhaps a dirty glass?). There's some fruit in the nose. It's not particularly distinct, but it comes through clearer in the flavor amidst a lightly sweet, straightforward golden malt. It's sweetish with a low level bitterness but it's not unbalanced as a zippy carbonation helps to clean up the finish and leave it crisp. One-sided in a way, but interesting as well. Nicely done.

Clear straw colored pour with a small white head and lots of carbonation. Really nice taste that has lots of grain and bread upfront backed by some citrus and a hint of prickly pear. Light to medium bodied and finishes dry and crisp.
