This beer is delicious. It pours a deep tan with a creamy head. Some nice caramel notes off the head and similar taste to follow. Lashings of caramel and nuttiness (macadamia?) with enough bitterness to clean the finish. Some biscuit and bread character as well. Brilliant from the growler and better once you let it stand for a few hours. Mouthfeel is slightly chewy and some stickiness on the lips which made it all the more tasty.

clear deep reddish brown with a thin crown of off white foam. low carbonation, but could still have more of a head than this.

aroma has a distinct but light nutty aspect. rather pleasant. floral hops sit beneath but the focus is on the macadamia. no where near as strong as rogues hazelnut, but still nice. as it warms, the roasted nut character comes out a bit more.

strong supporting malts make it easy to pick up the macadamia in the taste. the dry roasted nut character make taking quick sips a necessity.

mouthfeel is a bit light, but this is certainly an easy drinker. very enjoyable.

Mahogany pour with small creamy head.
Aroma is pretty delightful, with caramel, toffee, toast, chocolate and some nutty notes.
Similar flavours: Toasty, nutty, chocolate grain. Aftertaste is seriously toasty (literally, like "fresh outta the toaster" toast) with hints of roasted coffee. Again, pretty delightful, even if simple.
Low carbonation works well with the style.
Really enjoyed this one, not sure how much the macadamia nuts add, but Holgate are definitely on the right track with this.

A - Pours a fairly clear light brown colour with a 2cm off white head that hangs around for a bit.
S - Nutty aroma with some slight floral hints.
T - Also quite nutty in the taste with some biscuit maltiness. A nice floral hoppy note as well.
M - Lighter side of medium bodied, medium carbonation.
D - A nice enough beer that I'd drink more of but nothing to get too excited about.

Pours a very opaque brown, lighter than i expected with a rocky head that falls away fast.

Smells sweet and nutty, as you'd expext from a nut brown ale with macadamia nuts in it. Biscuity malt coming through with a very faint citrus smell at the end.

Biscuity malt with a lingering nutty sweetness, a slight hop bitterness to finish.

Good carbonation, however, a little thin on the palate for my liking.

All and all a good autumn session beer. It's not amazing, it won't change the world, however, on a cool afternoon i could see myself having a few pints of this
