On draft, pours black as night, thin, a little oily looking, very full brown head.
The nose is roast, a little nutty, hazelnut, caramel, molasses, alot of oak and wood. The flavor is more roast, lots of wood, candied sugar, vanilla, but this is acidic and thin, a little oily as it goes down. The barrel is trying to infuse alot of flavor, but the base beer is so messy its hard to really integrate the oak and vanilla notes.
