WOW!!! Never had a beer like this before, definitely different. The flavors of the wine barrel were a great counterbalance to the hop character of the ipa. Weird, but good, and different.

From a bottle, this pours a dark hazy orange with a big full fluffy white head. Lots of carbonation and bubbles. Which is a great sign.
The smell is crystal malt, citrus, orange rinds, resin, piney hops, very floral, and a little oak. The barrel character is almost non-existent, just wood. It smells like an DIPA where the hops have started to fade.
The flavor is bitter, dry, with a thin hop content. A good malt backbone, resin, just a bit of white grape. Clean, easy finish. Not much alcohol present.
This tastes alot like the base beer, the barrel didn't do much or it was blended with alot of the base beer. Either way, this isn't bad, just not a reserve society type beer. They need to step it up IMO.

The beer pours a light white bubbly head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a hazy deep orange with brown notes as well. The beer smell has dull french vanilla and oak notes. The smell also has a slight malty sweetness at the end of it. The smell seems to have a blend. The beer has some fresh hop smell but also of a caramel malt that is generally present after aging a little bit. However, the smell notes of an aged DIPA seem to take over that of a fresh one. Additionally, the chardonnay notes also make a slight appearance. The beer taste is fairly bitter and interesting as well. The vanilla and barrel are very light and the beer also has some light chardonnay grape notes. The blend of the aged Two Dome and the new Two is fairly interesting. On the hand, you have a fresh hoppy bitter taste balanced by a sweet and caramel malt flavor that happens with time. The chard presence also adds a slight sourness to the mix, which adds a bit of funk as well. The mouthfeel is fairly medium body and a bit watery for a DIPA but is still pretty good with biting carbonation. Overall, I think this is one of the strongest offerings from the Reserve Society along with the Barrel Aged Pandemic Porter.
