Like the other beer from Three Stars that I had here, I wasn't sure if I obtained this from a trade or picked it up on my way home from a trip out west. Canned on 1/19/18, this wasn't fresh but held up well in my basement and was chock full of grapefruit when I finally cracked it open today. If that's your flavor, then you've found your match with this one!
Murky and muddled, the muted orange hue was topped off with a sufficient head but the lacing left behind was sparse, aside from a thin ring just above the center line of my pint glass. Lots of grapefruit, pine, and earthy hops in the nose as the taste was full of tangy citrus that had me puckering up. This felt like something out of Florida but without the orange blossom sweetness that could have taken this up a notch or two. As it was, it was slick enough and full of plenty of bubbles as they took the edge off of this beer.
This felt stronger than it was in actuality as this "White India Pale Ale" was one of the more balanced ones that I've had in recent months. Never had a brew that described itself as such but if this had wheat in it, it wouldn't surprise me. That would be enough to cut the citrus and make this palatable, even though it was still fairly sharp. A bit too one-dimensional for me but on it's own, it was fine for a session such as tonight's!

Hazy orange, thin white head, nice lace. Nothing special, but not bad, either.
Big grapefruit and tropical aroma!
Much more grapefruit than tropical in flavor. Nice bitterness. A touch of acidity
Mouthfeel would be about spot on for a NEIPA, I'd like a little more carbonation.
An interesting variation on a beer I already liked.

Poured from a pint can into a pint glass. Canned on 19 Jan 2018. Little head gives way to no head. Slight carbonation and unfiltered. Not much of a nose to this one - was expecting lots of grapefruit but getting just a faint hint of citrusy pine and hops. Taste is mild for an ipa (these days at least) - grapefruit hits up front but then quickly backs down to a sessionable ipa taste. Not bad - probably a refreshing ipa for hot summer days. I wouldnt turn one down but then again there are far better examples

Poured a copper orange color with a 4F head in a Spiegelau glass.
Excellent head retention. 5 minutes before resolution.
This beer needs to be warmed up. The grapefruit, earthiness, citrus, and sweetness come out with warming.
The carbonation and bitterness somewhat overshadows the taste: citrus, grapefruit.
Excellent hoppy spicy finish.
An excellent IPA. I looked for more pronounced citrus taste, otherwise
An excellent beer.

From a growler filled at Foggy Bottom WholeFoods.
(Just FYI, this Whole Foods is NOT setup to properly fill growlers. They can NOT first evacuate the growler with nitrogen. They do NOT have "long spouts" to lay the beer into the growler's bottom. The college kid working the station did NOT even tighten down my lid so it spilled on the way home.)
Pours a hazy gold with a one-finger white head. Aroma is all citrusy grapefruit and hops. Tastes are hops-forward and grapefruit with also earthy, floral, and some orange rind flavors.
