Pours with no head, dark molasses brown semi clear color with decent legs
Nose big sweet malt, toasted biscuity toffee and caramel, a bit nutty, rich sweet caramel, toffee, dark candied fruits like raisin date, some vanilla pudding and butterscotch, buttery oak and very light whiskey
Taste is sweet again, quite sweet, loads of caramel, butterscotch, toffee, etc, a bit of chocolate caramel candy, more butterscotch and vanilla pudding, general mild buttery vanilla oak and light whiskey, more fruits with candied raisin fig date, choc-raisins, almost chewy malt, low bitterness, finishes a bit drier but still sweet, a touch of bitter spicy hop
Mouth is full bodied, thick a bit chewy like, but no carb
Overall not bad, a good English strong base, def wish there was carbonation and more barrel, but otherwise a decent beer
