Upon opening, there is an intense fruit note - it soon fades; the body is a cloudy amber color that lies beneath a heavy crown of froth, which also fades, leaving a fine layer of lacing along the glass. It tastes subtly sweet and offers a fine balance of hop and malt. No bitterness at all. Given its potential, 77 Sevilles is rather crisp. A rather decent brew from one of DC's home breweries.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about twelve dollars. Have never heard of or seen this brew before. Huge miss for me. Smell, taste etc. all piss poor, barely finished the can.

I knocked this down last night with dinner. Three Stars really likes DIPAs, or at least I assume so since they market so many of them.
This one was unremarkable, in appearance or texture, with almost no head at all. It had a pleasing tropical aroma but really was understated in flavor generally. I remember thinking that the alcohol really never repped at 7.7%. Kind of a boring, safe DIPA, if such a thing exists.

Clear, light gold, thin white head, good retention and lace, though
Smells like overripe pineapple and mango, fairly potent
Flavor not as in your face as the aroma. Tropical fruit flavors are present, but malty backbone is pretty prevalent. Low bitterness
A bit heftier than I like in an IPA, and could use more carbonation to make it pop
Pretty decent.

5/18 can release... Features Falconers Flight, Mosaic and Azacca hops, double dry hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe lupulin powder... Medium gold body is not quite clear; produced a finger or two of white head and trailed lace down the glass... Tropical and citrus impressions at the fore, followed by a danker resinous undercurrent... Impressions of papaya, guava, pineapple, and pine, and a fairly earthy, faintly chewy aspect... Medium-bodied, moderately sweet, moderately bitter, mildly carbonated... Leaves behind a lightly bitter shellac on the palate... Good, but nothing necessarily special...
