Pours a clear dark amber, light brown color. Wispy head mixes in well with the top of the beer.
The nose is caramel, sweet malts, nutmeg, and chocolate. I don't get alot of rye on the nose.
However, I get more rye on the taste. Earthy notes, sweet malts, and chocolate with a toasty finish. This is incredibly smooth and sits well in your mouth.
Great interpretation of the style, very drinkable.
