Pours the darkest of brown, almost black.
The smell is mostly bourbon, roasted dry malts, vanilla and rye. If you like bourbon, you are going to think this smells amazing.
The taste is dryer than I anticipated, roasted malts, coffee, alot of bourbon attacks the palate. Sweetness and vanilla on the back end.
It's thick and a bit chewey.
The barrel did alot for this beer, it tastes great.
