Thanks to Delta for not breaking any of the four bombers I jammed into my suitcase – which was already completely full pre-beer – coming back from KC. 22 oz. bomber slathered with weird &, I assume, purposefully cheerful pastel artwork. Dominated by yellow.
The beer? The beer. Looks like a mud-smeared version of Code Red (do they still make that stuff anymore?). Smells like caramel dipped in cherry fondue, with a bit of fusel alcohol tossed in for good measure. Interesting.
Mr. Vacation is snore-inducing. The nice nose gives way to flat, lifeless malt sweetness, faint brandy, low breeze of alcohol, zzzzzzzzzz. Touch of caramel, earthiness (hops?). Wood only on the belch. Slick, & half a bottle is plenty, thank you.
I hope this brew is only going through a dead period, because if this is life, ship me off to nirvana pronto. Decent.

So good, I had to drink it in the parking lot. None got home with me.

Cola colored with tan thin head. Smells of raisins, tropical fruit, toasted coconut and oak. Taste starts off with a spicy rye like malt, dark fruits and a sweet brandy booziness. Mouthfeel leaves a suprisingly dry palate for the sweetness of this beer. This is an huge beer from a good little bewpub, love there use of brandy barrels.

Pours a deep, dark plum with a fizzy off-white head which disappears really quickly. No lacing left behind. Big sweet malts in the aroma with a little bit of toffee, oak, and boozy bourbon in the background. Taste seems a little bit off. It has sweet malt, a little oak, bourbon, berries and tartness to it. Finishes really sweet with a lingering boozy aftertaste. Mouth feel may be a hair on the thin side, but still near a good consistency. Overall, enjoyable. The booze burn may be a tad much for some, but it's not horrendous. The labeling is quite nice. Love the tropical theme. My first review of this beer was for a glass straight out of a sealed bottle in my fridge. First edit (and current score) was from the same bottle about 12 hours later. The bomber was stored in the same fridge, with the bottle cap put back on to try and seal most of the air out. It tastes and feels a little better at this point.
Served in a 12oz snifter.
Revised: First rating: 4/4/3.75/3.5/4. Compiled score: 3.85.

Look - Pours a murky, brownish amber color that leaves a small, cream-colored head that dissipates in a flash. Very little lace.
Smell - nutty, caramel, toffee, sweetness. Some barrel notes present as well
Taste - taste follows the nose for the most part. Very little barrel in the taste.
Feel - heavy-medium feel with very little bitterness.
Overall - not bad, not groundbreaking.
