Very hazy amber/orange color with a bit of off white foam that disappears quickly, no real lacing produced.

The aroma is grassy, tart cherry with some hint of biscuits and citrus.

The taste is also a bit biscuity, with definite tart cherry after warming up a bit, hints of red wine also begin to appear with some vague vanilla and definite grassy notes in the dry finish.

Very light bodied.

Altogether a somewhat interesting and pleasant brew. It definitely benefits from warming up a bit to bring ut the more subtle flavors.

this is a great glass of beer, on tap at the brewery. i was impressed with their beer list, and this wild saison aged in red wine barrels was the star of the show for me. a bit of haze to the beer, huge white head looks belgian and lasts the while drink, carbonation prickles my nose as i take in the aroma of wet oak, cherry, wine tannins, and a range of cereal malts toasted and drier. there is a light citrus pucker here, but the beer smells much more funky and bretty than it does sour and bacterial, although there is undoubtedly a mix of cultures here. the flavor is nice, malty up front with a hearty earthy grain base and all of this wood. notes of vanilla in the oak, a newness about it, and the funk right there with it. red apple and cherry fruitiness are there, a light biscuity flavor, some mild citrus, and the red wine and wood circling back around in a slightly tangy finish. mature and dry, effervescent from the tap, and overall extremely high quality. i have had other wild or at least partially wild beers from these guys and they have been nowhere near this good. this is something original and delicious, and its better than so many others in its field. great use of the wine barrels, that flavor comes through brilliantly, and this is delightful stuff. i like it being so low in alcohol for a barrel aged beer too, we dont see enough of that. killer wild ale here! the best beer ive had from these guys to date...

Pours a foggy orange with a thin layer of khaki foam on top that dissipates quickly with no traces of lacing left behind. Aroma is cherry, with a sour, puckering quality. There is a small whiff of grass and Belgian yeast notes. Flavor profile is tart cherries through and through with notes of grass, Belgian yeast, and floral. Mouth feel is thin, and nearing flat. Overall, not a super impressive beer. The cherry notes are there, but dull.

Served in a teku glass.

Light hazy orange, thin ring around the edge.
Aroma is nondescript, light malt sweetness and yeast. Kind of young.
Something vaguely fruity, more of a yeast ester, but no cherries or Brett as advertised.
Taste is also a bit "young", mild tart fruit, yeasty, malt sweetness.
Light bodied, somewhat crisp, light carbonation. Not my favorite.
For $15-16 this was not worth the price of admission, and that was a consensus vote among several people.
