Pours a dark brown almost black with a medium brown head that fizzes away quickly. You definitely get a smell of the barrel and a sourness that creeps up. There is a sweetness up front followed by a little bite of sourness. The barrel fermenting has hidden the flavor I usually associate with any belgian beer. The carbonation is high but it goes well with the flavors. I enjoy this dark ale.

Not a belgian dark ale,more of a dark sour.Bringing home a couple bombers of this pplus a few other!
