Foamed up immediately upon opening the can. Poured quickly into a sideways glass and still netted over half a glass of white foam. Beer underneath is a lightly foggy, misty straw. Head retention is good. Aroma is crackery, bready, nutty malts with light lemongrass and herbal and floral hops. There is a touch of clove as well. Flavor profile is clove, banana, and lemongrass with malts fairly hidden. Malts that do show up are thick crackery, light bready, and modest nutty. Herbal and light citrus hops add a touch of complexity and balance. Mouth feel is effervescent and foamy, with a medium thickness. Overall, an American labeled pilsner that shows off distinctly German qualities. Still, it's an interesting and refreshing brew that can serve both as a sipper and a slammer.
