Very dark, almost black with some ruby highlights and a decent foamy tan head that retains fairly well even producing a bit of lacing.
The aroma is maple, vanilla and some roasted malts, very sweet.
The taste is also heavy on the maple followed by vanilla, some notes of coffee and chocolate with a slightly charred malt background which allows a bit of bitterness at the finish, although not enough to balance out the sweetness, but it's "Donut Stout", so I guess that is appropriate.
The body is light/medium
Altogether this is a decently enjoyable brew, just too sweet for a regular thing , just nice for a change occasionally.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of sweet maple, chocolate and hints of vanilla. Sweet maple syrup taste with chocolate, toffee and a hint of vanilla and cream.

Pours black with a fingers and a half of khaki foam. Head retention is good, leaving a few rings of lacing behind. Aroma is sweet - very, very sweet. Vanilla bean and maple syrup is right on the cusp, creating a cloyingly sweet aroma. A little bit of roasty and toasty malts help ground out the back end and offers up a touch of smooth bitterness, but it still falls sharply far from creating balance. Flavor profile is maple syrup, vanilla bean and chocolate layered over nutty, roasty, toasty malts that are a little burnt and charred. Despite a cloyingly sweet aroma, the flavor profile is grounded and balanced by the malts well, unfortunately the malts come off lightly charred driving the bitterness even further. It does taste like a glazed donut though. Mouth feel is lightly velvety with a thinning consistency at the tail end. It has a medium-thin consistency. Overall, an aroma that doesn't quite line up with the flavor profile. It's most definitely a dessert stout, which can be discerned just based on the name.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz can.
