Thanks to Jan for this one. 2013 edition, poured into a Carolus chalice.
A: Translucent brown ruby body with a thick off white head. Fades to a lacy top. Mysterious, alluring.
S: Sweet malt, tons of fruit and Belgian yeast aroma.
T: Big yeast character, fruity and somewhat sweet with caramel notes in the back. Starts out like a quad, but it finishes rather tart and refreshing. Bitterness is there, and perfectly in balance.
M: Carbonation is dense, some residual sweetness, but overall mouthfeel is great.
O: A great beer, complex in flavor but not too heavy on the palate. Great balance.

Appearance: It has a nice deep brownish/red color to it. It has a nice light beige head that dies down moderately and leaves little lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, sweet caramel, bready malts and peppery spices.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some Belgian yeast, dark fruit, sweet caramel, some residual suguar, bready notes, faint peppery spices and perhaps some ginger.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas. Not quite what I was expecting for a Saison but still good.

From notes... The last of my Montreal tasting notes that I've been slow to post.
A - Pours a nice dark ruby red, two fingers of head with solid retention and no real lacing.
S - Rich musty grains, loads of burnt sugar and caramel, solid dose of cloves, a touch of banana and bubble gum.
T - There's toasted grains, burnt caramel, charred cracker, musty hop notes, sour citrus rind, a solid clove undertone and rich caramel malt with an earthy hop finish.
M - Lighter bodied, loads of carbonation and finishes surprisingly dry.
O - A solid Saison that's incredibly drinkable, especially given the higher ABV. The brew I consumed was the 2012 vintage and clocked in at 9%, though could easily pass for a 7%-er. Well worth picking up, loads of flavour and surprisingly complex.

Gusher, lots of brown foam coming out, continuously. An interesting spice aroma and taste. Lasting retained head forever. Decent drinkability. Spruce, corriander, pepper, caramel, malty, rown sugar and maple. Above average carbonation. Worth a try. Sticky and Yeasty.

Beer is dark brown, which is a surprise. It has a very large beige head, frothy. Dissipates at a moderate pace and leaves a fair bit of lacing. If one rated appearances to style, this would have to lose out, as it really doesn't look like any saison I am familiar with, but big deal.
Burnt caramel and bready malt in the nose. Some orange and a bit of yeast.
The darker hue of the beer plays itself out in the taste. Malty and bready, burnt caramel, orange. Some Belgian yeast, honey and a very VERY mild funkiness, but not much. Certainly not a typical saison.
Full bodied, a bit heavy (especially for the style), moderate carbonation.
Overall, unusual. It is OK, but not really much of a saison. I opened this sitting in the backyard on one of the first nice days of the year- not what I expected. Decent but probably mis-marketed.

I rated this based on both a Saison style and this beer in particular.
Once you pour it, it does not look like a typical saison. Dark as a baltic porter with a thick creamy head. Smells of sweet orange, peppery saison yeast and coriander. A touch of burnt caramel.
Taste is very very strong with sweet orange and a slight bitterness. As the orange fades, a stronger bitterness takes over but doesnt last. A very mild acohol burn, but certainly not overpowering. Very very sweet.
I must admit, i prefer a dry saison with a more tart and yeasty flavor, but this is very strong sweet orange peel. Nice, but just not the same as a nice saison you have with a meal.
