Bianca has only slightly above average Looks as the foam could stay active longer. Smells are classic banana, fruit punch and spices; but just not distinctive or yeast-driven like the masters brew. Tastes are balanced and some spice keeps pushing out the excess sweet particularly effective at the finish. While not as soft as the Bavarian masters, this does have a Full Feel. Paired well with sushi.
I'm not sure I like paying extra for a fancy Peroni label, but it shows they are trying to flex a toehold for innovation.

Despite the fancy Bottle this comes pretty close to the big everyday Munich Hefeweizens like Paulaner or Franziskaner.
Definitely a good Weizen but overpriced as is.

Nice solid orange amber color with a thick thin head.
Yeasty aroma with notes of cloves, some banana and bread.
Flavor with notes of cloves, white grapes, faint floral hops, oranges and a bit of banana. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light towards medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent Hefeweizen with spicy yeast flavors over an orange and faint banana bread base.

500ml bottle. Poured out a hazy, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of banana, clove, spices and fruitiness. Sweet wheat taste with banana clove and a yeasty bite.

50cl bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Roma (€1.79):
Cloudy & slightly murky amber with a foamy white head that holds well. It;s loght & floral on the nose with wheat, cloves & faint coriander. The taste is similar with wheat & faint coriander, light citrus & touches of spice then some perfume like touches to finish. It's a little basic tasting for the style but it was smooth, well-carbonated & easy to drink without being anything special.

Birra Peroni s.r.l. “Gran Riserva Bianca”
50 cl brown glass bottle. “Da consumarsi preferibilimente entro la fine / stabilimento 07/20 PADOVA L9 208 1 16” and sampled on 29 November 2019
€1,60 @ PAM, Piazza degli Ottaviani, Firenze, IT
Notes via stream of consciousness: Although it’s labeled “Gran Riserva Bianca” this is actually done in the German hefeweizen style. The body is a very hazy orange beneath a finger thick head of creamy white foam. Tiny bubbles can be seen rising steadily within. The aroma clearly expresses sweet yellow bananas over a doughy and wheaty maltiness with just a light dusting of yeasty phenols and spiciness to round it out. The flavor follows in, dare I say it, the exact same way. I get the banana right up front, with the phenolic spiciness appearing immediately to bring it to fullness, and then the sweetish and doughy malt rising as it crosses the middle of the palate. It’s creamy and smooth with a very fine-bubbled, seemingly natural, moderate carbonation that accentuates the malt and sweetness. No doubt, the banana suggests sweetness to the brain as well, and yet it doesn’t finish sweet as there’s a touch of acidity, and then a light bit of bitterness just as you begin to swallow. It then lingers with more of the spiciness, and a touch of crushed white peppercorns, as well as some of the banana although it appears more green than yellow. It’s not exactly your traditional hefeweizen, but neither does it have to be, nor is it in anyway “off”. It’s just a little different, and if I’m not incorrect, that has something to do with how Italians like their beer. They don’t like a lot of carbonation, and they generally drink their beers a little warmer so that makes complete sense. A hefeweizen at the standard, higher carbonation the Germans use (at least 3.0 volumes of CO2 per liter) would gush from the bottle at 45 - 55˚F. In the end it’s a unique, and nicely balanced and rounded take on the hefeweizen style that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Peroni Gran Riserva Bianca has a golden cloudy yellow colour, under a really strong head of white foam, persistent on average.
Aroma of wheat, banana, yeast, malt, traces of tropical fruits (pineapple and mango) and a spicy hint (pepper and cloves).
Aroma is well balanced, with banana, yeast, tropical fruits and orange, much spicy. Aftertaste is bitter and spicy, but so drinkable.
It is an on average carbonated beer, with medium body and much drinkable.
