Appearance: Golden-copper body, hazed, with a half-inch of dusty white suds on top.
Smell: Citric, floral, lightly grassy hops with an additional hint of scuppernong jelly jump forward, with the notes of bready barley, toasted grain, and rye bringing up the rear.
Taste: Bready malted barley alongside a noticed inclusion of piquant rye. Light golden syrup sweetness. The hops give varied tastes, a little citrus, white grape, grassiness, some florals, which, joining the rye, give off kind of a sprucy/minty vibe. Medium-plus bitterness. Bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Has a smooth heft about it.
Overall: A good beer, I enjoyed my pint more than I had expected to.
