On tap at the source. Don't think this is a red. Menu says it's a Virginia table beer. Pours a medium yellow, a little cloudy. Quite a prickly mouthfeel, lots of effervescence. Not bad but wasn't expecting that.

The beer is a fairly cloudy pale gold and looks pretty good.
The beer smell and taste have a fairly nice sugary and fruity note with a bit of bitterness to them. Also, orange notes start to come out when the beer warms a little and the other notes fade.
Overall, the beer is pretty good but wrongly classified as of this review. The beer ingredients and place on the menu is probably closer to a BPA than anything else.

Rating as a Belgian Pale Ale, which I think fits for brewery-described "yeast driven Virginia Ale":
Pours cloudy with small-bubble head that sticks around for a little while. Some lacing occurs but it fades with a little time. The nose is lightly floral, meadow-like with some green/wood mixing in. The nose isn't too strong, but getting my nose in there I think I get some Belgian inspired yeast.
Taste starts herbal with a bit of cereal grain noticed. The beer is fairly dry, but there is a hint of honey for sweetness, and in some sips I get a light apricot fruitiness, but it's rather indistinguishable as to exact type of fruit to me. The feel is medium with a nice amount if carbonation. It is also a fairly dry beer, pulling on the tongue a tad throughout.
Nice to be all local ingredients. Wish there were a little more in the flavor profile, but the more it sipped the more I enjoyed it for what it was.
