On tap:
Pours a dark brown with a medium brown edge, looks pretty clear ignoring the color that does prevent almost all light from getting through.
Nose seems more nutty than toasted, but there is a highly toasted aspect as well. Some leans towards chocolate are also noticed.
A bit more of a full beer than I expected, and fairly bold in flavor. Heavily toasted bread and a slightly candied nuttiness are the main components. A nutmeg to cardamom spice note comes along later. A little on the sweet side in the end.
Wanted a little lighter and cleaner version for my tastes. Surprised the bolder flavors actually don’t work for me as much in this one.
