From the small can, it pours a solid amber color with a nice just off-white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a nice malty scent with some caramel notes. The mouth follows with a pleasant but unremarkable nicely malty brew.

Clear deep amber appearance with a small, lightly laced beige head that disappeared in about 15 seconds. Sweet, caramel malt aroma that developed a bit more earthiness as it warmed. Taste stayed focused on the sweeter, bready qualities of the malts while herbal hops added a semblance of balance. Not sure this one is covering all the bases of a traditional marzen but, overall, there are worse examples. Canned on 08/19/21.

A: A copper orange in color with a small light tan head.
S: Bready with a nice sweetness, and a mellow floral hop note. Smell is very clean.
T: Bready with a touch of toffee, and slight herbal and floral notes from the hops. Finish is a touch buttery.
M: Medium in body with moderate carbonation.
O: Enjoyable, but not outstanding.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 22 oz bottle into a German style mug.
Appearance: The body has a nice deep amber color with very good clarity but it’s light tan head faded out quickly. I am now left with a naked beer and no lacing.
Aroma: The nose is light overall. I get light sweet and bready malt notes with hints of herbal and earthy hops.
Taste/Palate: Up front there’s some lightly sweet malt carrying some light caramel and toffee like notes. Hop notes add balance and an earthy character which leads into the finish. The feel is firm and softly carbonated.
