A: Pours a clear very deep reddish amber in color with light amount of gentle visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and some crimson red highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted malts with some toffee sweetness and a light hint of roasted malts.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of toasted malts with a light amount of toffee sweetness which is followed by a light flavor of roasted malts and a touch of earthiness. Light hints of bitterness in the finish which fades pretty quickly.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: While there is no specific distinct hop aroma of flavor in this beer, I can tell it is there because the beer is well balanced in the sweetness/bitterness considering the different malt flavors. The flavors in the beer feel a little muddled and I wish there was a little more complexity.

A: The beer is relatively clear garnet red in color. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down and left only a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of sweet malts are present in the nose along with some hints of toffee.
T: The overall taste is quite malty and has some sweetness along with flavors of toasted malts and toffee as well as slight hints of roasted malts. No bitterness is noticeable.
M: It feels a little more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn't as heavy compared to other Scotch Ales. No hops are noticeable, but there are just enough to prevent this from being cloying and sweet.
