Served on-tap at 508 Gastrobrewery in New York, NY
A: Pours a hazy golden orange in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some golden yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall beige foamy head that reduces to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to heavy amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of smokey tea (lapsang souchong) with some light notes of lychee sweetness, all over the light to moderate aromas of amber + biscuit malts.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit malts with some light to moderate notes of smokey tea (lapsang souchong). There are light flavors of lychee sweetness which fades fairly quickly.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: As someone that really appreciate lapsang souchong tea, I found this beer to be quite interesting and it embodied the flavors/aromas of the tea very successfully. The very light amounts of lychee complement the flavor of the tea very well. Quite enjoyable.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellowish amber in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down and left some wispy lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lychee fruit are present in the nose.
T: The initial taste starts out with flavors of lychee fruit and finishes with notes of Lapsang Souchong tea and associated smoke.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite interesting and provides and interesting contrast between sweet lychee fruit and smoky Lapsang Souchong tea.
