On tap at 508.
Pours the color of cream soda; clear and light brown, with a small head that sinks to a thin band on top. Slippery lacing slides up and down the sides of the glass. The aroma greets you with prominent nuttiness from the addition of Brazil nuts; light caramel, lovely toasted maltiness; a very appealing nose all around.
The flavor follows suit; lots of toasted malt, caramel sweetness, and a strong nut presence; lightly floral hops bring a bit of restrained bitterness to the proceedings and tighten things up a bit. The finish is semi-dry. There’s something about this one that diminishes a bit as you work your way through the glass however; the flavor seems to thin out a bit and dissipate too readily; and an out-of-place, slightly tart note emerges that begins to eclipse the initial nuttiness a bit.
Medium light body with medium carbonation. Good drinkability overall. Although I enjoyed this quite a bit, it lacks a certain depth and the vague tartness underneath undermines the beer to a small degree.
