From 10/06/12 notes.
a - Pours a deep, hazy yellow-golden color with one inch of off white head and low carbonation evident.
s - Smells of bananas, apples, cider, brandy, bready malts, light spice, cloves, yeast, and fruity malts. Very nice and fruity with an almost apple brandy smell to it. Really like the nose.
t - Tastes of bananas, apples, fruity malts, bready malts, grains, spice, pepper, and yeast. Not quite as fruity as the nose, but still really nice.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Pretty easy to drink and didn't feel like 8.4% ABV.
o - Overall I liked this one a lot; probably my favorite of the three or four 508 beers I've had so far. Lots of fruit to it and some really nice apples and bananas in the nose. Would definitely like to have this one again.

On tap at 508.
A lightly hazed, gold-bodied beer with a small, quickly settling head. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of pears, banana, Belgian candi sugars; some citrus fruit, yeast and general spiciness.
The flavor is fairly fruity and sweet; caramel and bready malts paired with candi sugars; lots of pear and banana, lesser citrus fruits; spice and peppery yeast esters; light alcohol detected just a bit. Booze is felt more upon completion than it is tasted. Semi-dry finish.
Medium body, moderate carbonation that feels a little low for this style; very smooth and creamy mouthfeel that nonetheless lacks a bit of crispness.
Overall this is a decent take on a BSPA; the flavor is nice and it’s stylistically authentic. My only criticisms would be an overall lack of depth of flavor and a mouthfeel that needs a bit more life. This is described as “effervescent” on the brewpub website and it fell short of that kind of bubbly and crisp mouthfeel. If I were nitpicking I'd also say the head needs more size and retention.
