This Prism utilizes the same simple grist and classic Belgian yeast strain, and is dry-hopped with German-grown Mandarina Bavaria and Spalt. This beer reminds us of peeling an orange by the pool in July, black pepper Wheathins, humid bike rides to the Botanical Gardens, and taking a shower after mowing the grass.

Yup yup yup.
16 oz can into Boulevard Smokestack snifter, dated best by 12/01/20.
Pours a marvelously hazy opaque light blonde with a ridiculous creamy head that fills half the glass and then destroys the glass as it recedes at a slow pace. These Prism beers never fail to deliver on looks (or much else really!).
Aroma is amazing grassy straw and farmhouse funk, the bavarian hops playing second fiddle here but amply supporting the Saison aroma wonderfully. Gorgeous clove & yeasty phenol. Explosive floral character. It's a touch farty but that's the only complaint I have. This is up there with some of the best Saisons I've ever put to my nose. It could have come out of a cork & cage bottle. Impressive.
Flavor is not letting me down one iota. Another banger from Perennial. Fantastic CLEAN floral character, a touch of orange peel/zest, orange sherbet, hay/straw, clove, coriander, and cream.
Feel is crisp and carbonated, about 75% clean, slight starch, and moderate dryness. No heat.
Overall, it's always an impulse buy whenever I see Perennial's Prism series. They knock it out of the park every time. I hope to someday visit their brewery in person. They really are artisinal brewers.
Price paid : $2.59 / can
Would buy again : of course

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is best by '02.01.20'.
Murky, pale straw colored body. Two fingers of white head upon pouring, and this recedes back to a puffy cap. Leaves strings and layers of lacing.
Aroma of rubber eraser yeast, with a bit of citrus hops.
Taste is a clash of citrus and yeast esters, without a blend. Extremely dry finish.
Thicker than medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation. Has a bit of sting in the upper throat.
Big yeast esters with a touch of citrus. Not terrible but really dry.

poured from a 16oz can into a willi becher glass. pours a clear gold with white head that fades quickly into a thin white film that sits atop of the golden colored liquid. on the nose i get more of the typical saison smell than the dry-hopping. grass, lemon, some melon-type aromas. taste is similar with a dry finish that seems less bubbly than what i expected. overall, not my favorite of the prism series but still a good, light drinking saison fit for warmer weather.
