Our last Prism release of 2019 highlights Huell Melon & Centennial. Minerality, grass, muskmelon and grapefruit dominate the aroma and palate with a crisp finish. This saison reminds us of 90 degree days in October, crushing domestic lagers on the river and hikes around Bow River.

Picked up a 4 pack of this from Craft when it blew into town in summer of 2019. Have spaced out the cans until this date having drank all 4. Worked well at any age or stage.
Pours a cloudy bright yellow. Ample 2/3" white head and good retention. The aroma was interesting, not really the kind of hops you use for dry hopping, and then there is the whole 'why are we dry hopping a saison much less so many different ways' kind of questions, but such is life. Thankfully the yeast was more prominent than any huell melon notes. Light centennial tree like influence.
Taste kept the yeast in the forefront, nice and dry effect on the mouth feel from it. Light bitterness of a pine tree dimension, hello Centennial once again. Good carbonation, good levity. Adequate straw portions. Light citrus influence as well, seems hop derived. One of the cooler aspects is that this doesn't seem to age, the one in 2021 was indistinguishable from the ones in 2019. I will buy these again should I see them.

16 oz can, best by 4/13/20.
Hazy straw gold with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, fluffy and loose-knit.
Aroma is a wonderful bouquet of green melon, lemon, straw, hay, grapefruit, hot steel, and grass fields. Some slight banana and blueberry.
Flavor brings rich clean melon, tangerine, ruby grapefruit, straw, hay, and slight banana esters. The best part is that it is so crisp and delicious.
Feel is crisp and carbonated, very refreshing, but only complaint is that it fills the belly up real quick like cement and the starches/resins hang on too long. Very dry finish.
Overall another fantastic Perennial beer. The key is drinking it fresh. Don't wait. These guys are quickly becoming one of my favorites.

One sip and Prism inspires me to think "Why can't it be Spring?"
(I certainly will save one of this 4-pack for Spring. And I hope I find Prism again.)
A pleasantly lively Looking brew. Smells are Spring, fresh flowers yearning to share some joy... with some citrus mixed in. Tastes largely reflect the same; the hops come on strong in the late palate, but are never bitter and, in fact, nicely dry.
A soft Feel in my mouth and I'd like this to continue for the length of this common plate of pasta and red sauce. (Prism made the food tolerable; my key test of a saison.)
Only my 4th from Perennial, they are all Belgian-inspired. But I just noticed now that they make their money with an ever-expanding portfolio of Imperial Stouts. Curious combo of traditions. But, I think I'll stick with Perennial's Belgians. Prism is a good enough. And I'll even bet that it improves most of my cooking.

On tap. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of melon, grapefruit and sweet caramel. Floral and fruity taste with toasted caramel and a subtle spiciness.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light pale yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of white bubbles covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S:Moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with notes of earthy hops and Belgian yeast with hints of honeydew melon.
T: The taste is a mirror image to the smell, having flavors of grassy hops with notes of earthy hops and Belgian yeast and hints of honeydew melon, the latter of which is a touch stronger in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and quite dry on the palate with a moderate amount of palate. The finish also has a good amount of dryness.
O: The lighter body nature of this beer and the dry mouthfeel makes this particularly refreshing.
Serving type: can

poured from a 16oz can into a perennial snifter glass. pours a clear golden color with a finger of fluffy white head. smells of belgian yeast esters and some light cantaloupe. taste is similar with the belgian yeast strain taking the forefront. the hops sort of take a back seat in this iteration of prism. it doesn’t smell or taste bad, it just doesn’t have enough hop aroma and flavor to cut through the base saison. feel is typical for the prism series. not super thin but not very prickly or carbonated. not my favorite prism but not my least either.
