A foeder-aged saison matured in oak for 16 months before being transferred into stainless steel with 2.5lbs per gallon of blueberries. It then refermented on fruit for a month, before an additional 2 months of conditioning off the fruit. Bottled in 750mL green glass bottles and kegs in June of 2020, where it has been naturally carbonating until its release today.

This one pours a purplish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like red wine, oak, blueberry jam, and lemon.
This has a really wonderful expression of blueberry – that fruit can give out some weird off-flavors, or end up way too acidic. None of that has happened here, and I dig that fact. There’s a good oak character, and overall excellent barrel expression.
This is light bodied, and really drinkable, with a smooth and just lightly tart finish.
Blueberry isn’t always my favorite fruit for wild ales, but when it’s done well like this, I’m fully on board.
