Aroma is nutty malts, toffee/caramel and a hint of hops. The flavor is nutty malts, caramel/toffee/hint of syrup sweetness and a mildly bitter/piney hop finish.

From the pint can, it pours a clear very dark brown/black with a very nice light brown head that lasts and leaves lacing. The nose gets roasted malts predominantly. The mouth follows with flavors of black and roasted malts with notes of dark chocolate. Very mild lingering light bitter aftertaste. Very nice brew.

Picked it up in a random purchase from a basket of sale items. Delicious!

Had on tap. Brownish black body with a sustained brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate, faint toasty caramel, and mild deeper earth. Taste has a sweeter coffee tone added, brightening the chocolate to semi-sweet, caramel much more prominent. Feel is lighter in weight but decently full with the roast and dark yeast shaping the body

Undated can; drank 3/30/25 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; strong tree-rung lacing remained.
Autumn leaves, mild caramel & faint brown sugar notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & mild brown sugar flavors; mild autumnal leaf notes on the finish.
Dark, smooth, and drinkable. I'd have another.

This is a "top shelf" dark lager!! Malty goodness is very evident in the aroma and taste, surprisingly rich!!! Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer is a dense brown color with only a few ruby highlights coming through. The head is medium sized, frothy and dark cream colored with good retention. Ample, thin bands of lacing on the glass. The aroma comes right at you as the can opens. You know it is going to be rich just from the initial smell. Aroma and taste include rich, bready malt, a little coffee and some mild bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is rich, smooth and crisp. In all, a very tasty lager.

16oz can. Poured out a dark, dark brown color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left some sticky lacing. It smelled of coffee, toffee and caramel. Nice roasty flavor with a mild bitterness and coffee-like finish.

Pours a dark cola brown and settles nearly black in the glass with mahogany brown hues on the edges and sports a significant tan head that lingers and caps the beer.
The nose has roasty malt notes in SPADES, and a bit of coffee. There’s also a bit of grass, which is more pronounced on the taste and really complements the substantial roasty malt flavors.
The mouthfeel isn’t quite as crisp as I’d like with this style, but it’s still a very drinkable beer.
