Part of the Thursday Release Series, I was fortunate enough to try this while it was still on tap. Dubbed a Rye IPA, I classified this as a Rye Beer instead of an IPA.

A - pours orangeish yellow without much of a head on it

S - fruity hops dominate the nose with a bit of grain/rye malts; can't detect any of the supposed peppercorn

T - opens up with a blast of citrusy hops. These transition to the rye malt backbone of the beer. A huge amount of citrus, especially lemon, overwhelm the malts. Ends bitter with grapefruit rinds, citrus, and a modicum of pepper. Good stuff.

M - creamy and full - goes down very smoothly

D - Nice rye beer on display here. The hops were really bright and clean, more so than expected. Pretty solid overall.
