A New England IPA brewed with Golden Promise, honey malt, flaked rye, flaked oats, and flaked wheat, Sea Chest is copiously dry-hopped with Cashmere, Motueka, and a newly-named, previously-experimental, thoroughly enjoyable varietal of hop named Sultana.

Notes of pineapple, lime, coconut and orange sherbet are wrapped in a blanket of juicy hops. This treasure shouldn't be buried. Hazy. Juicy. Fresh. Best paired with: BBQ, Tacos & Oranges.

3rd Review. Etches a 4 overall. Love the brewer. Go visit at Cape May airport and get the mex food next door.
a) Slightly hazed golden head, ample lace, loose head.
s) Peach, peppercorns, orange rind.
t) Adds more dimensions including hemp, herbs, orchard fruit, more peach, pine.
f) Silky, cleans up nice in a see saw toward sharp pepper finale.
o) Works as a complex, herbal, not citric NE IPA.

Pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is mild citrus and hop floral. Taste is citrus, coconut and hop bitterness. Feel is good, right on for a NEIPA, smooth and creamy. Overall a solid NEIPA.

Close to two fingers of cream white foam, fairly airy so retention is so-so, lacing is more splotches than streaks. Fully opaque hazy liquid, peach skin yellow, able to see a few bubbles break the surface. The nose has a little marijuana, tar funk to it but otherwise orchard fruit, pumpernickel bread, peppercorn and a touch of mandarin orange, overall I’d consider it somewhat demure. Full-bodied, due in large part to a heavily carbonated, fluffy attack. Once the flavors settle onto the tongue there’s saline, pepper, cracker and on the main peach, apricot, nectarine, kiwi fruit, adequate flavor without any tropical bite. Florality grows with each sip, here too the citrus mostly orange to tangerine. Vaguely herbal aftertaste. Acceptable but not exciting, if it was the best beer on the menu you could have 2-3 with no regrets. (Canned 3/12/21)

Canned on 02-22-21.

A - Very dense, two fingered thick, white soapy lacing, dark opaque tan color.

S - Aroma is citrus, lemon, lime, peach, and tangerine.

T - Lemon, a little bit of lime, and some delicate malt sweetness as a base underneath along with some earthiness.

M - Big medium body.

O - Don't love it, don't hate - but a good middle of the road solid IPA.
