Dawn Symbolizes a new beginning and new opportunities. Hazy Dawn is part of our newest collection of ipas and use Golden Promise malts for a full mouthfeel. Motueka & Simcoe hops blend together for a collection of tropical fruit flavors with a subtle hint of pine. Together these elements present a perfectly hazy brew with an exciting zest of flavor

Not only is it hazy, it's extremely foamy, to the extent that two twelve ounce cans didn't even fit into a clear glass liter mug without pause. As with most overly starched hazy IPAs, the stark white frothy mess receded unevenly and unattractively. The liquid beneath is cloudy honey-amber in color and not nearly a difficult to look at. Its unimpressive aroma has a nice somewhat piney sharpness to it, but nothing else. Basically, that's what's there to taste. There's some shallow sweetness to open, but a piney hoppiness carries the bulk of the flavor throughout. This never gets overly bitter, but there's no complexity to its sweetness to make this a good HIIPA. Drinkable? Sure, as it is just full and smooth enough to carry the ABV. But, the sparsely erratic glass lacing doesn't tell a lie about the lack of a flavorful body. Overall, it's passable, but disappointing from a brewery that nails it more often than misses.

Hazy orange-golden beer with a fragrant citrus nose. Lively flavor profile featuring citrus and a bit of tropical fruit, balanced by a piney dry finish. Well-disguised 8% DIPA ABV. One of the better Cape May efforts I've had. Definitely worth a revisit.

Part of a Cape May Brewing Variety 12pk. 12oz/cans
Pours a very hazy, light tangerine color. A fluffy one-finger head on the initial pour.
A light citrus, hoppy aroma.
A very tasty IPA. A mixture of citrusy fruits (grapefruit, lemon and mango) with a slightly piney, hoppy bitterness. Very drinkable even at 8% ABV.
Thinner consistency, medium carbonation.
Overall, a very well done beer. A beer that has a lighter feel which makes it very drinkable. Cheers!

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It is a hazy, bright orange with a modest, ecru-colored head and lite lacing. The smell includes lemon, lime, tropical fruit, and floral hops. The taste is dominated by the Motueka hops and offers lemon, lime, and pine sap from the Simcoe hops. There is moderate, clean bitterness throughout. This ale has a full, creamy mouth feel with appropriate carbonation, and it is easy to drink at 8% ABV. Overall, Hazy Dawn is a good showcase of Motueka hops. It is a fine DIPA to drink outside on a warm, sunny, Spring day.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a quite hazy deep honey-gold with a blocky and persistent off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is juicy orange, mango, and a bit of malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth, soft, and fairly hefty. Finish fades to slightly bitter citrus. Overall, a very easy drinker and quite enjoyable.
