A pair of pours emptied two twelve ounce cans into a clear glass liter mug. A tropically fruity aroma hit the area, only vaguely mango. That's not a problem, since this is a self-described Mango IPA. Its color is orange-amber, with a generous off-white head that reduces quickly, then lingers. A sweet, too sweet initial taste hits first, making this an unpleasant drinking experience. The now identifiable mango just overwhelms any malt or hop taste contributions. It's so fruitly sweet, there's really no reason to search for any true IPA character. There's almost no glass lacing, as there's almost nothing to like about this. The ABV is fairly hidden, but it's at the cost of a sickening sweetness, just not acceptable in this style. Perhaps the mango smooths out and contributes to a decent mouthfeel. This may appeal to some, but not to any true IPA lover.
