Two twelve ounce cans emptied entirely into a clear glass liter mug revealed thus: A lovely bright and relatively clear copper-amber colored liquid, nicely carbonated, but bringing very little off-white head. For a fruited IPA, there's not much to smell. It's not heavily hoppy, nor earthily malty in a traditional IPA way. For a fruited ale, there's not much blueberry, nor lemon, neither. That doesn't mean none at all, just not much. There's more of everything earlier mentioned in its taste. There's a decent IPA somewhere here, with sufficient barley malt and hops to stand on their own. The added fruit juices are there to augment taste, but add more of a nuisance than an enhancement to what could have been a pleasurable AIPA. For someone just looking for a good AIPA, the fruit juice addition isn't intolerable, but it seems unnecessary. The mouthfeel is average, as is the disguise of a potent ABV, but there was no glass lacing. Overall, it's a passable fruit flavored IPA; but, if you brew a good AIPA, additional fruit flavors are unnecessary.
