Quite the foamy pours to empty the contents of two twelve ounce cans into a clear glass liter mug. At room temperature, an excess of stark white foam was produced. But, it receded quickly and evenly, not becoming a major distraction. Beneath the short-lived head/foam was a hazy and lightly colored copper-amber liquid. There's an aroma of berries and lemon, not too sweet, nor too sour. This drinks about the same way. There's a very pleasant balance between the berry sweetness and citrusy bite. During the finish, it's the citrusy bite that takes over, making this one nice ending that will leave you wanting more. It ends up mostly tart and sour, maybe somewhat salty, a perfect choice for a sultry afternoon. For all the flavor, there's nothing that seems artificial and there's really no evidence of any alcohol to taste. It must be emphasized, despite its name, this is not some overly sweet dessert beer. It's a very nicely balanced sour ale with some berry sweetness to complement the puckering it provides. The body runs a little thinly, which is acceptable for the style and don't look forward to studying any glass lacing when having one. Still, it's recommended you have one.
