On-tap, poured into a mason jar

A dark reddish orange color, muddy, dirty. A small off-white cap rises and falls, leaving some rings of lace behind.

The aroma is of fresh tomatoes, damp wheat....it's probably my head playing games, oregano/basil probably isn't in there, but I sense them.

The flavor profile is much like the aroma. Fresh, pulpy tomatoes intermingled with damp wheat. There is a bit of a spiciness in there, not sure what that is from.

Medium bodied, a bit heavy for a pale wheat. The tomatoes seem to bulk up the body and give it a little more texture.

This is an above average beer if you don't mind tomato flavor co-habitating a glass with beer. Solid base beer with a large tomato flavor.

This isn't V8 meets APW. The tomatoes are well-incorporated and, if anything, are a sign that this brewery isn't afraid to take a chance once in a while. That's OK in my book.
