Tulip from a day-old growler.
A - Deep gold with some haze that clears as the beer warms. Lighter color than many IPAs. White head with good staying power, leaves nice lacing to the bottom of the glass.
S - Hops dominate. Like candied tangerines. Low hints of herbal earthiness, but the sweet citrus is in the forefront. Very low toasty malt supports.
T - medium high bitterness that lingers into the finish. Nice balance of low toasty, bready malt and medium-high sweet citrusy hops. Low sweet caramel malt to support the hops.
M - Medium-low body and medium carbonation makes this dangerously easy to drink. Very low alcohol warmth. Lightly astringent, dry finish from the hops.
O - WOW- love this beer. This is a single hop, wet-hopped IPA, one of three from a split batch. Missed the Simcoe :(, had the Citra in the taproom yesterday. Really liked it, but the Mosaic is the winner. My new favorite hop.
