hey, maybe I'm biased, but I've been living out here for a little over a year and this is my favorite local beer. It's not for everyone, it's strong, acidic and very floral. It kind of reminds me of highland single malt scotch. But, every time I drink it I wonder how they got such clear floral scents and flavors with out the musty murkiness that you typically see with these types of efforts (and almost all melomels). Cheers! :)
P.S. you have to drive out to the brewery and buy a 32oz or 128oz growler... or just drink it there.

Draft offering at the brewery. The brew appears a clear orange color with off-white cap and stringy lace sticking to the walls.
The aroma contains notes of orange and sweet, sticky caramel/toffee malt. I want to say it also smells of honey but that is a stretch and possibly influenced by the beer's description.
The tastes is just as sticky sweet as you might imagine based off of the candied appeal the aroma has. It is like orange rinds pickled or well...candied in honey with a mellow and soft rindy bitterness.
This is medium bodied and modestly carbonated. I'll give them style points for creating simething different but as a barleywine its way too sweet. I think they went a little too crazy with the adjunct here or maybe the base wasnt that good to start with? Worth a try but I would not pay to have it again.

Orange blossom Floridian Barleywine / 9% ABV listed at the brewpub.
This had the look and ABV of a barleywine but not the flavor or aroma. Certainly not bad and rather easy to drink, but lacks depth and boldness. Think imperial marzen.
Medium body and carbonation.

This is an orange blossom barley wine.
A: orange with amber hues on a murky body. Very thin head with a little lacIng.
S:light aroma, mosty malty.
T: not at all boozy. The orange in the finish really temporizes the bitter alcohol flavor of so many barley wines. Not as intense so not very true to the style but still a good beer. I would recommend this one and hope it is back on soon. The orange is a nice addition to flavor this style.
M: medium but oily body and moderate carbonation.
