Listed as one of their pilot beers. brewed with fresh citrus peel.
A: no head on a nice deep amber body and scattered lacing.
S: for a Citra hopped brew the aroma is a little light with mostly grapefruit and orange peel. Simple aroma.
T: the malts are more than I like for Citra hopped beers. Lots of caramel, molasses and light dark fruit but these provide more if a flat to tart flavor which isn't really sweet at all. Hops provide mostly orange peel and other citrus.
M: medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall: I definitely wanted more from this. It's isn't bad I guess my expectations were too high for the Citra hop aspect. Easy to drink, malt forward IPA.
