Sampled from a growler that apparently was improperly filled.

Appearance - Amber/copper color, little to no head.

Aroma - Oranges, limes, tequila, slight booze.

Taste - The first thing I said was "it tastes like lime and tequila soaked gummy bears..." I got a little bit of the undertow, but there wasn't as much of the malt presence.

Mouthfeel - Silky, Light to no carbonation. As previously stated, this is probably due to the growler fill.. Would like to try this from a tap.

I would drink this again. Hopefully on draught.

I got this as a growler fill and it didn't seem to be done right. It wasn't filled at the brewery though.

No head on a murky burnt orange and copper body. The aroma is basically straight up orange juice/tangerine and tequila coming across as fairly sweet. The beer is incredibly easy to drink. I honestly haven't had the base undertow barleywine in a while but the orange flavor dominates until late in the finish when when the tequila finally comes through which is far from overpowering. I didn't catch the ABV but no matter what it is its well hidden in this brew. Malty barleywine base isnt at all represented. The carbonation is light which may be related to growler full technique. Light to medium body.
