Misc.: Collaboration with HopSaint; Canned on Dec. 9, 2021
Got a 4-pack of this from my sister-in-law along with another 4-pack. It’s funny because I had a taster of this earlier in the day. Gave it a 4 on Untappd, writing “Damn. Lots going on with this collab with HopSaint. Seems to be a lot of hops (EDIT: looked it up on ESBC website and there are five). Might dry-heave after pounding this flight but this was outstanding. Would put it at 4.15-4.20 range.” Hops mentioned were Citra, Denali, El Dorado, Idaho 7 and Centennial.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy white head. Pretty calm underneath with just a few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled lemon, herbal, menthol, cough drop, honey, tea, Idaho 7, El Dorado, pine resin and grapefruit. Much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Not sure it was much better. In order got bitter lemon rind, aspirin, herbal, menthol, cough syrup, honey, tea, Idaho 7, pine, resin, grapefruit, El Dorado and melon. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Not quite as good as the taster which is common for me, but still outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
