This is a solid IPA, not sure but I am willing to bet this is a version of the Pizza Port Swamis IPA. I haven't done a side by side but it's just a guess. Regardless, it's a decent American IPA which ain't a West Coast IPA, it's not an East Coast IPA, it's just an American IPA which is a kinda vague style of beer but who cares we are talking beer not fine wine. The can is cool, El Segundo and Pizza Port are both awesome breweries, so just check it out. It's worth the effort to pop the can.

Pours a crystal clear amber with long-lasting foam in the Rodenbach goblet. Resiny aroma with a peach nose. A touch of something bright and fruity in the taste, but immediately very bitter. Grapefruit peel for the finish. Clean hoppy flavors mix well with the malty base. This seems more like the big surly and abrasive IPAs that El Segundo does so well. If it was a DIPA with the same amount of hops it would be perfect. More hops than it needs at 6.5 percent. From the 16 oz can purchased at Trader Joes. Dated 08/23/23.

The can artwork speaks more to Baby Raulita than Raul. But what does it matter when what’s inside slays harder than the top of the 2023 Dodgers line up? Wow. Yes. Yes. Wow… GG is straight up West Coast like Bob Barker dictating a yokel during Plinko.
Raul checks in. And Raul’s checks out.

16oz can into pint glass
Brew is golden tan in color, slight opacity. Yields a fluffy, 1-inch head with a ton of sticky lacing.
Aromas are ripe, rindy, with a honeyed bread back drop. Touch of booze at the edge of the bouquet.
On the palate, hops are a lot sharper than in the nose. Notes of melon rind, earthy tea, touch of strawberries accent the hoppy profile. Lots of scrubbing bubbles help usher in a quick, clean finish.
Old school west coast style ale, bitter and refreshing. Unique undertones, tasty brew.

A classic take on a WCIPA. Poured from a 1-week-old 16 oz can into a tall tulip. Crystal clear, pale gold, voluminous white fluffy head recedes to a thin film. Lots of lacing. Not a lot of smell, though I'm not great at detecting subtle scents. Very nice amount of bitterness without being intense to the point that you need food with it. Flavors directly reflect the hop selection: Strata, Mosaic, Chinook, and NELSON(!). Clean finish. Body on the light side of medium.
