They describe this as a "Hoppy West Coast Lager," but it still tastes like a Cold IPA to me. Anyway, it's a lot of hops in what otherwise tastes like a malty Festbier. The color is even orangey amber, with plenty of foam in the Scotch thistle glass.
In any case, this is an interesting brew that seems overhopped for whatever you might call it. It's quite sweet, like corn and winter squash. The hops are leafy and a mix of fruit and pine. Hop lovers will want to try this. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's. Dated 07/17/23.

Picked up a 4 pack of pint cans at my local in Calabasas. This is a collab with Enegren (Moorpark, CA), which really knows lagers, many of the best I've ever had come from this place. It uses several of my favorite hops: Chinook, Citra, Centennial and Amarillo. The look is fantastic, copper with a frothy tan layer of thick foam that lasts a while and laces nicely. Smell is floral and fresh, as if you're walking among the veggie area at a great farmer's market. Taste follows and is amazing. Spot on feel - I am impressed and will be going back for more. Great job at El Segundo Brewing and Enegren Brewing for getting together on this wonderful lager.
PS. Once again I had to pick a style from the list because BA seldom has the actual one. There's many offerings in the "West Coast" Lager category, but I had to just come close and call it an American Lager when adding it today.
Salut!!
