Solid! Does everything right as a West Coast IPA, namely it has depth and character, it's hoppy, and it has a bold mouthfeel that finishes dry.
Looks straw yellow and slightly hazy in my tulip glass. From a 16 oz can marked with the date. This beer is less than 30 days old. Yay!
Smells of a freshly hopped beer. Hops comes off as fresh and grassy/herbal, with a dominant stonefruity punch as well as dank, piney aromas and flavor. Balanced yet definitely hoppy. In fact, the more it warms, the more I realize this thing packs a punch and I love the massive, unabashed hoppiness of the brew. Wow.
Solid A, would have again. I love both of these breweries.

******For the real beer geeks and hop heads******
Here's what I get from the hops in particular since they're named on the can:
Strata gives me the strong, dank, and fruity aroma. They often impart notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, and cannabis-like dankness and it definitely has this in spades!
In terms of flavor, Strata hops for me give off tropical fruit, citrus, and herbal notes to beer. They are also known for their unique herbal and pine characteristics. I get this too, but not in an overpowering way.
Chinook hops typically have a piney, resinous aroma with some spiciness and hints of grapefruit and that's all here too, and just packed in wave after wave as the beer warms.
Columbus hops, also known as Tomahawk or CTZ, only seem to add to the pungent and earthy aroma, often described as "dank" and "spicy" and maybe they are what helps give this thing the strong bitterness along with herbal and citrus notes I'm getting.
If you try this and you're a real hop head, you'll get a complex hop character with a range of flavors and aromas. This thing is built on a dry, light base so it comes off like a firework but still balanced and not overpowering.
A true hop head delight!

Last nights dream reigns supreme. The thought of things - oh, so much more. Different desires. An entire new reality. Feelings of purely “being.” Drink it up. Yes, I will. Yes, I will.

Soooo full disclosure, I am biased toward anything from Beachwood Brewing, they are one of my fav local breweries in SoCal. This colab beer is really interesting. Pours clear and golden with a nice frothy two finger head. The aroma is not fruity at all, it has a slightly malty piney floral aroma. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy yet crisp if that makes sense. The taste is very hop forward but nothing overboard or too bitter - nice and balanced. The first hop they list on the website is Strata, which is a new hop variety to my knowledge. There is lots of hop bittering on the front end and the finish. Overall it has a very balanced taste profile but then again it's an "American IPA" so not sure what is the quintessential American IPA so I can't say if it's spot on for the style. What I can say is it's a great IPA and definitely worth a pop.

Clear golden amber brew with plenty of foam in the Piraat tulip. Aromatic with apricot, pine, and citrus. Prickly and light mouthfeel. Hot and fruity to start with a distinct acidic edge. Flavor of hot orange peel. Not overly bitter. Overall this is thoroughly drinkable with a powerful hoppy flavor. From the 16 oz can; date stamp not legible.
